Pilates is a total body conditioning exercise regime that corrects posture, develops core stability, increases flexibiliy, and lengthens and strengthens muscles. With concentration and good tuition, results are surprisingly rapid. When practicised regularly, Pilates can help you achieve your optimum personal body shape; a flatter stomach, leaner legs, a strong back, beautifully poised shoulders and neck. You will look taller and more slender, move more gracefully and feel terrific.

Pilates is recommended by many health professionals such as physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors, as the ideal exercise to develop strength after many forms of illness or injury, and to combat the stresses and strains caused by poor working conditions, or bad postural habits (in other words, everyday living). When practised under the supervision of a well-trained teacher, it is perfectly safe for any and everyone.
