Our Teachers

 

Stephanie Tenneson trained as a professional ballet dancer at Arts Educational Trust, London.  She moved to the US in 1979, where she opened the White Mountain School of Ballet in Arizona, teaching ballet and Jazz dance, and later taught dance and aerobics in San Francisco. Stephanie qualified as a Body Control Pilates teacher in 2003 and has been teaching mat-based and private classes in the Stamford area since that time. She also teaches the Gyrotonic Expansion System to private clients.

What Stephanie likes best about teaching Pilates:

Romany Gurner

 

Romany Gurner holds a BA in French from University College London. She qualified as a Body Control Pilates teacher in 2003 , and teaches private and semi-private Pilates and Gyrotonic lessons in our studio, and Gyyrokinesis to small groups. Romany came to Pilates through personal injury, and helping clients in rehabilitation is a high priority for her. Romany is also a qualified sports massage therapist.

What Romany loves best about teaching Pilates:

Amy SwansonGuest-teacher Amy Swanson is a teacher-trainer for Body Control Pilates in London. She visits us to give workshops and master classes, bringing fresh ideas and all the latest input from the big city! She also travels the globe teaching Pilates on surf holidays – tough life! Amy is also a qualified yoga teacher.
